1. Who we are
The Peak Nutrients is a digital publisher of evidence-based health and nutrition guides, operated by ThePeakNutrients, based in the Netherlands. For any privacy-related questions, contact the data controller at thepeaknutrients@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Email address — when you sign up to receive our free Core 6 cheat sheet or our newsletter.
- Name — only if you choose to provide it in a form field.
- Purchase information — when you buy a product, our payment processor collects your name, email, billing details, and country. We do not see or store your full card details (see Section 5).
- Correspondence — any information you include when you email us.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, time on site, referring source, and similar analytics.
- Device & technical data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and device type.
- Tracking data — collected via cookies and the Meta Pixel (see Section 4).
3. How we use your information
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To deliver the free guide and any product you request or purchase.
- To send you our email sequence and newsletter, where you have consented.
- To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
- To measure and improve the performance of our website and content.
- To show relevant advertising to people who have visited our site (see Section 4).
- To comply with legal and tax obligations.
Our legal bases for processing are: your consent (email marketing, non-essential cookies), the performance of a contract (delivering products you buy), our legitimate interests (site analytics, security, improving our offer), and legal obligation (tax records).
4. Cookies & tracking
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential cookies — required for the site to function.
- Analytics — to understand how visitors use the site.
- Meta Pixel — a tracking tool from Meta Platforms that helps us measure the effectiveness of our content and, where applicable, show ads to people who have visited our site. The pixel may set cookies and collect data about your interactions.
You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. You can also manage ad personalisation in your Meta account settings and opt out of interest-based advertising via tools such as the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (youronlinechoices.eu).
5. Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run our business. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service:
- Kit (kit.com) — email marketing platform. Stores your email address and manages our email sequences.
- Payhip (payhip.com) — handles payments and digital product delivery. Payhip and its payment partners process your billing information; we never receive your full card number.
- Meta Platforms — provides the advertising pixel described in Section 4.
- Netlify — hosts our website and processes basic server logs.
Each of these providers maintains its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with the service providers listed in Section 5, and only where required by law (for example, in response to a valid legal request).
7. Data retention
We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we remove your data promptly, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (for example, purchase and tax records, typically kept for the period required by law in our jurisdiction).
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email thepeaknutrients@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Our service providers maintain industry-standard security. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International transfers
Some of our service providers are based outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the United States). Where data is transferred internationally, those providers rely on legal safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or applicable adequacy decisions.
11. Children's privacy
Our website and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes & contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
